Editorial Guidelines

How we produce, fact-check and update every article and tool page on RankifyPro.

1. Editorial Mission

RankifyPro publishes accurate, primary-source-cited, jargon-free content about on-page SEO, technical SEO, content optimization and generative-engine optimization (GEO). Our goal is to make it possible for any website owner — regardless of technical background — to ship a site that classical search engines, AI answer engines and human readers can all understand.

2. Sourcing Rules

  • Primary sources first. Every technical claim is backed by Google Search Central, web.dev, the WHATWG/W3C HTML specification, Schema.org, the relevant browser vendor docs, or peer-reviewed research. We do not cite secondary aggregators as authoritative.
  • Direct quotes use the original wording. Paraphrases are clearly labelled as such.
  • Anecdotes are labelled. When we share something we observed in a real audit or case study, we clearly say "in our experience" — not "studies show".
  • No AI-generated filler. AI tools may be used for first-draft brainstorming, but final article text is written and edited by a human practitioner.

3. Editorial Process

  1. Brief. The editorial team approves an outline including target audience, search intent, primary sources to consult, and word-count target.
  2. Draft. A subject-matter writer drafts the article.
  3. Fact-check. A second team member verifies every claim against the cited primary sources.
  4. Edit. An editor revises for clarity, jargon, and reading-level (target: Grade 9 on Hemingway).
  5. Accessibility check. Headings, alt text, contrast and keyboard navigation are verified.
  6. Publish. The article is published with a publication date.
  7. Review. Articles in the "technical SEO" category are re-reviewed at least once per year.

4. Corrections Policy

When we publish a factual error, we correct it within 7 days of being notified, append a "Last updated" date to the article, and (for material errors) add a "Correction" note at the top of the article explaining what changed. Report errors to support@rankifypro.com.

5. Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure

  • We accept no sponsored posts or paid placements in editorial content.
  • If an article contains an affiliate link, it is disclosed at the start of the article in bold.
  • Our SEO score checker recommends no third-party paid products inside the tool itself.
  • Advertisements served by Google AdSense are clearly labelled and never influence editorial content.

6. Use of AI

We may use AI assistance for outline brainstorming, grammar checking, image generation for hero illustrations, and first-pass code review. We do not use AI to write final-published article text, fact-check claims, or fabricate citations. Every published page has a human practitioner accountable for its accuracy.

7. Pseudonyms & Anonymous Authorship

RankifyPro articles are published under the byline RankifyPro Editorial Team. We do this deliberately: we do not invent fake author identities to manufacture E-E-A-T signals. Editorial responsibility is shared across the team and is documented internally.

8. Reader Feedback

We welcome feedback on any article via the Contact page. Constructive criticism of our methodology, sourcing or tone is taken seriously and informs future revisions.
